Kickball

This May the Little Tree Preschool will host a kickball tournament to raise money for new iPads for the special education department. The tournament will be on May 14th and we need all of your help to get teams and sponsors to participate in this tournament. Click here for information on all kickball rules. Each team will consist of at least 10 people with at least 4 males and 4 females. The cost will be $10 per person that signs up and each person will receive a 2016 kickball shirt.

This event should be fun and entertaining, while also bring in money to support our need for new iPads. A few ways to help with the tournament is creating a team, getting sponsors to donate money or just volunteering your time.

Please feel free to give feedback on ideas to make this event as successful as possible. We would like information on group that we could sign up to play as well as groups that would just like to donate money to the cause. We also would like any information that would help make this as profitable as possible while still keeping everyone entertained and competitive at the same time.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give,
Christy

  1. To raise more money you could have spectators 'pledge' a certain amount ($1? $5?) for each win or point?

  2. You could make things more interesting for teams by having each team be a theme. For example you can have a team dressed as superheros or another team dressed as chefs!
You can also contact someone at the student center and they can give you the email address of the person you can send a email to describing the event and they can send out an email blast to the entire campus

  3. Those are all very good suggestions! I really like the thought of having different themes. I think that having people pledge money would get even more people involved that may not be able to actually play in the tournament.

  4. Another possibility would be to get an item of interest donated to the cause and sell raffle tickets for $2 each. If it is a hot item that everyone is interested in, you can sell a lot of tickets.

  5. I think a raffle would be a great idea. Ask around for a restaurant that may be willing to donate food or drinks. Make sure the spectators know your goal of getting iPads for the special education department. Maybe set up a donation tub at the event for a few extra dollars.
